GOING DEAF plays their first live gig.

Atom Bomb's birthday/Halloween party. October 29th, 2005, in Winooski Vermont.

It was a great first show. A bunch of our good friends were in costume and in attendance to bang their heads, cheer us on, and drink our beer. The set started strong with the song "Pro." It's the bands favorite song to play. "Pro" was super tight and fast that night. Punkmetal at its finest! A great way to kick it all off. "Black Sky Black Night" was played and only slightly mutilated. It was only thanks to The Bomb's mad wardrum skillz that the song got back on track and was brought to new levels of ear shattering excellence. Next up the band started "Mosh Attack." We got halfway through the song and a goddamn string busted on the six string. We soldiered on through the song and ended it early. It still sounded great. Pure adrenaline channeled through the amps! Freddy quickly got another guitar ready. With the crowd barely having enough time to piss out a beer we started back up again! Luke was foaming at the mouth to play more. Adam was full of energy! Our soundman Pedro helped adjust our levels at this point in the set because we were f**king loud, and overpowering our P.A. system. Thanks Pedro! We belted out "Mass Graves" and did an awsome job. We played our new song "March of the Deaf." A screamfest. The Joker took a break from trying to kill the caped crusader and shouted a request from the crowd. So we played "I Like to Watch." We finished on a high note. We played a cover of THE MISFITS' song "HALLOWEEN." GOING DEAF kicked that songs ass! Seven songs seemed to come and go at the speed of light. It was all over so fast! Hell! The set was a half hour long and gone in the blink of an eye.

After the band's set was done we partied for a while and then the McGrath brothers took the stage! Bill set the beat with perfect timing and super-ass-loads of Rock N' Roll attitude. Scott started soulfully finger-banging the bass, and Freddy followed Scotts lead. Steve and Atom Bomb took turns singing with Scott. It was one hell of an improv jam session. Fun. And everyone in the house was digging it! Thanks Scott and Bill! You rock!

GOING DEAF had fun. Everyone told us they had fun watching and listening. Some party goers even yelled "You guys are frickin' awesome!" It was great. We did an amazing job considering we hadn't jammed with the entire band together in well over a month. We learned what to do. We learned what not to do. We got a lot of great experience. Thanks to everyone in attendance. Special thanks to Kris, Brianna, Maria, and all the musicians for making the party excellent. Super beer loaded thanks to Scott "Pedro" McGrath for all of his invaluable help, advice, and kind words. You're the best Doc. Also, ultra mega screaming thank you and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Atom L. Bomb!
